2025-26 budget information
Thank you, Albany!
In the City School District of Albany, we are so fortunate to be supported by a community that values public education and the importance of our schools to the fabric of our city. For the 18th year in a row, Albany voters said “yes” to our budget proposal as well as the other school-related items that were on the ballot Tuesday.
This also was the third year in a row of at least 80% approval, a threshold that this school district never reached prior to 2023.
Beyond the percentage of voters giving us the thumbs-up, we’re experiencing more residents getting involved in the budget vote as well.
We had more than 700 more voters this year than last, a 28% increase to 3,246. Compared to 2023, turnout was up 55% this year (nearly 1,150 more votes cast).
