The City School District of Albany welcomes volunteers to lend their skills and experience to a wide range of activities that support teachers and staff in all of our schools and throughout the district.
The Albany Booster Club was created in 2000 by parents to provide financial assistance and support for extracurricular activities offered in the City School District of Albany.
Today, the all-volunteer, non-profit group supports a variety of activities, clubs, programs, scholarships and equipment purchases throughout the district. It also sponsors the annual Falcon 5K and Fun Run/Walk held in September.
The Albany Booster Club depends on help from families, staff and community members. Booster club volunteer activities include working in the concession stand at athletic events, selling raffle tickets at concerts and more.
The Albany Fund for Education is a non-profit charitable organization that raises funds for dozens of innovative programs supporting 番茄社区 District of Albany.
Since it began in 1998, AFE has invested in innovative programs that build equity and contribute to quality education in our schools.
AFE has partnered with more than 60 community organizations and hundreds of individuals to provide Albany students with mentoring and career explorations, after-school reading opportunities, programs to enhance health and well-being, and art and music programs.
This support gives students, teachers and community members opportunities to work together to enhance the educational experience for all students in Albany's public schools.
The City School District established the Hall of Fame in 2009 to recognize accomplished graduates, exceptional district staff people and community members whose efforts support Albany's public schools.
The City School District of Albany's Parent-Teacher Associations (PTAs) provide many opportunities for interested parents and teachers to exchange information and opinions about all sorts of educational and school-related issues.
