Weekly update from Principal Paolino

NEWS

As we begin week 5 of the school year, I want to thank you for your continued partnership and support.  It has been wonderful to see our students growing in confidence, building positive relationships and embracing new learning opportunities each day. By this point in the school year, classroom routines are well established and students are settling into a rhythm of learning. We encourage you to continue supporting your child by asking about their day, reviewing assignments and celebrating their accomplishments - both big and small!

Our 21st Century after-school programming (formerly known as Extended Day Program) begins today (Monday, Oct. 5) and runs through May 20. This program helps students strengthen academic success in a safe, supervised learning environment and offers a broad array of enrichment activities that align with the school day. Please speak with your children about the benefits of participating.  Completed applications should be returned to the Main Office, and any specific questions should be directed to

This month's PTA Meeting will be held on Wednesday (Oct. 7) at 6:30 p.m. For faculty/staff and parents/guardians who are unable to attend the meeting in person, we hope you will join us virtually via this

This Friday - Oct. 9 - marks the end of our first quarter interim marking period. Please be sure your child has handed in all missing and overdue assignments as this will greatly affect interim report grades.

Also on Friday, we will celebrate 'Friday Fun Day' with a 'Hat Day' theme. We hope to see everyone showing off their favorite hat - the sillier the style, the better!

All district offices are closed Monday, Oct. 12 for Columbus /Indigenous Peoples' Day.
