Delaware �������� School proudly welcomed students, families and community members for an exciting and engaging This year’s Winter Olympics theme brought learning to life as students rotated through hands-on stations inspired by winter sports. They tried their skills at “ice skating” and “curling,” practiced hockey techniques, learned how to snowshoe with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, designed alpine skiers and bobsledders and measured the distance traveled, graphed their favorite Olympic events, and explored math concepts through snow-themed activities. Students also enjoyed meeting Spike from the Albany Firebirds and had fun learning from and putting out “fires” with the Albany Fire Department. Each participant enjoyed pizza, was celebrated with a gold medal and prizes, and every family received a warm blanket to take home.

The evening was filled with meaningful moments of learning, laughter, connection and Cheetah pride. We are grateful to our faculty and community for creating lasting memories that our students and families will cherish for years to come!
