City School District of Albany students in grades 9-12 are invited to try out for the Albany High Spirit Team! The spirit team will perform majorette at school-sponsored events and athletic competitions this fall.
Tryouts will now take place on Wednesday, Sept. 16, from 4-6 p.m. in the dance studio (room 3132) at Albany High.
Our athletic department decided to postpone the tryouts until Sept. 16 after identifying an issue in Final Forms that was impeding the registration process. This issue has been rectified, and students and families should now be able to complete the registration process.
We want to ensure all students who are interested in participating have ample time to complete paperwork and upload a current physical into .

Practice schedules will be available soon via the practice schedules button located on our fall sports page. Please note that practice schedules are subject to change due to inclement weather or unanticipated circumstances.
Registration information
As a reminder, students and parents or guardians must fill out all required paperwork on to participate in tryouts and practices. Registration is open and students must be cleared in Final Forms prior to tryouts on Sept. 16.
A physical conducted within the last 12 months is mandatory for any student interested in trying out for an athletic team and must be uploaded into the Final Forms platform.
Academic Eligibility
As a reminder, students must be in good academic standing to participate in athletics. Academic eligibility will start at the beginning of each academic year. Eligibility is determined based on quarterly grades, and interim progress reports will serve as an important academic checkpoint for all student‑athletes.
