Purple on the Plaza is a ceremony and vigil in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, on Thursday, Oct. 1. It is an opportunity to start the conversation, raise awareness, and support victims and survivors of domestic violence. 

The Albanettes and Troubadours will perform at the ceremony in front of the reflecting pool. The New York State Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence coordinates this event and asks that attendees RSVP .
