Falcons soar to semifinals

On Saturday evening, our Albany High girls' flag football team advanced to the semifinals with a hard-fought 6-0 quarterfinal at The Falcon's Nest!

The Falcons' offense was led by Janae Byrams, who scored on a 10-yard receiving touchdown and finished the game with 67 receiving yards and 34 rushing yards.

Defensively, Albany High pitched a shutout behind a dominant performance from Janalee Campbell, who recorded 12 sacks and three tackles for loss. Celena Walcott added an interception and seven flag pulls, while Aasett Taylor contributed another interception along with a game-saving flag pull.

Join us to cheer on our Falcons as they compete in the Section 2 Class A semifinal game against Shaker on Tuesday, May 19. The game will start at 6:30 p.m. and is hosted at Shaker.
