Albany High basketball player, Aaliyah Douglas, recently shared her love for women’s basketball during !

“One woman’s success now could look a lot like my success later,” Douglas shared as she reflected on the excitement around the kickoff of the WNBA season.

As a freshman, Douglas' hard work and determination earned her the opportunity to play at the varsity level on the Albany High girls’ basketball team this past season.

Douglas not only finds inspiration in watching professional women’s basketball, but also when she picks up the ball on the court here at Albany High.

The lessons learned as a student-athlete and relationships built with fellow teammates have been a source of strength and inspiration, and we can't wait to see what the future has to hold for this amazing Falcon!
