Author Visit: Gail Jarrow

Student getting a copy of Jarrow's book signed by the author

During the latest installment of our visiting author series, Albany High students had the !

A former science teacher, Jarrow is passionate about empowering young adult readers with important historical and scientific knowledge that is grounded in meticulous research. She hails from New York State and has a gift for presenting factual information in a way that resonates profoundly with her audience.

Throughout the visit, students had the opportunity to listen to presentations, participate in question-and-answer sessions and have their books signed during a meet-and-greet with the author herself. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Albany Fund for Education for providing free copies of Jarrow's books for our Falcon readers!

We thank Albany High teachers Sam Jones, Amie Chermack, Tina Cardettino and Dave Easton for bringing their classes to Jarrow's presentations, as well as our dedicated Albany High librarians—Alicia Abdul and Kristen Majkut—for inspiring our Falcons to find joy in reading.

Jarrow is our twentieth in-person author visit in the last fifteen years—we can't wait to see what author will visit our Falcon Library next!
