On Wednesday, a group of Albany Marching Falcons had a one-to-one session on the floor of the state Assembly with Falcon mom and Assemblymember Patricia Fahy. And then they were introduced to and recognized by the entire Assembly!
The Marching Falcons head to France in June to help commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day invasion. They are one of only two bands from around the world who will perform on Omaha Beach in Normandy as part of France’s events recognizing the historic battle that changed the course of World War II in Europe.
